Sales is an area where most small businesses constantly need help. I just read a great book on the art of NOT cold calling. That's right, not cold calling. It is titled Never Cold Call Again; Achieve Sales Greatness Without Cold Calling, by Frank J. Rumbauskas Jr.
He goes into several ways for any sales person, which all business owners are, to generate leads and get them to call you. The approach is very low key and works quite well. It's an easy read and I recommend it to everyone who relies on sales for a living, especially those who live by the adage "Sales is a numbers game". Frank completely dispels that myth!
This definitely falls into the work smarter not harder arena.
